New site feature requests, wiki team, and more.

Well, while the new site launch is still [an undisclosed amount of time away], I thought I would at least give everyone a basic idea of what's going to be new to the SITE and get an idea of what everyone wants to see in it, and from us.

Site features(So far):

• Much more advanced user system, that ties in to the forums properly.
• The wiki (Content) will be a part of the site now, rather than its own area.
• Complete redesign of landatwar.com, to allow users to log into the site, post comments, etc. to it directly rather than through eyesoute.com.
• A newsletter (Weekly? Monthly? What do you guys want?)
• A lot more information into the inner workings of Tatsumaki - that means once again active developer blogs, a brief road map that is kept up to date (More detailed for those who have pre-ordered, of course), regular content updates and news posts.
• Everything already on landatwar.com and eyesoute.com

That's about it so far, however if you want to see a feature in the new site - just post it here, and I'll make sure to consider it (If not out-right add it). I've spent the past year rewriting the backend that powers the current eyesoute and landatwar sites, so it's flexible, powerful, and easy to work with - so don't be afraid to make a suggestion, no matter how complex.


Wiki team
I would like to start the wiki team back up - if you are interested in joining, please send me a private message. I have been fairly busy lately, and would like some help combing through the forums, organizing the various opinions, questions, and so on - to make the new wiki much more thorough.

well i say a weekly newsletter, and pictures... much more pictures, like tons, buildings and such, oh and the reflection pictures with the blocks, replace the blocks with something else, erm... yeah and a picture of the male model dressed as a samurai or ninja and a picture of the female dressed in a traditional kimono, people love pictures. hmm, and a simple chat channel would be nice, nothing too fancy.

First of all, this posted on the front page, urgently so that everybody knows you're up and running. =D

When it comes to the weekly/monthly issue, I'm really not sure. I'd love weekly updates, but I'd rather have a monthly issue with consistent content than a weekly newsletter with some "Umm...nothing new this week" e-mails.

I'll post more ideas later, off to sleep.

I'd like a section on the front for the people who pre-ordered that shows all the art, models, music, ect that isn't available to general public, rather than having to search the pre-order forum threads to find stuff we get to see and know.

I would definitely love pictures...

Pictures help to keep people ready, and helps them to better imagine.

Don't show us everything, of course, but it would be fantastic if we could have alot more pictures of things in Tatsumaki!

And maybe a monthly video, it wouldn't have to be long, but it could show us things.

Like, the fighting system demo, or a specific place in Tatsumaki!

And also, definitely keep us more in the circle of knowledge!

We need to know more!

For the newsletter i think depending on how fast u guys are progressing. If you are currently having weekly breakthru's then id say weekly but if its been more monthly id go for monthly that way we have something worth reading. Im not saying switch it up but rather based on how the games progress has been going in the past.
Of course once the alpha is near then move us to weekly so all of us who are paying attention will have a sense that its close :O

i would say a a monthly news letter will be better then aa weekly one as you can put more into and less work for you lots ont haveing to do one each week,also more pics, but not too many as to spoil it, i would like to find out most things in game, but a 1 or 2 roleing vids and a bit more music would not hurt,and if able how able a chatroom thingy were you can talk to hows online(since the irc channle does not get that many visters) but thats all i can think of

I really like the iSpy feature, because it updates in real time.

It's still not working properly since the ad-provider switch, for me.

Two or three week updates would be the best, longer than weekly but shorter than monthly for a newsletter.

Pictures will be the biggy to have but a few like monthly videos that sum up what happened that month in news or to show how far the game is would be great. Just like 2 minutes or more videos a month would give players more confinance that this game is still going though there has not been an update for a while.

I'd like to see a lore section. It could act to set the mood, and can be updated on a regular basis, which would keep the news page fresh. Also, a link for the completed version of Tatsumaki would be great!
