Great idea. A lot of people are going to want some kinda of building and aren't good at design. Instead of crafting equipment - craft plans. You'd have to work out cost/payment/delivery on your own.
People have already put in-game art and writing on the wishlist.

True, I guess especially if you're constructing large buildings you have to employ guys who take care of the construction site and make sure everything runs smoothly.

Man that's exciting to think about how much like real life it can be. Just think, as an architect, you can either have your own crew of guys you use, or tell your client he's hiring the crew so you can seemingly charge him less and not be as responsible for the workers. There will be some who do it one way, some another, just like a real industry!
I would hire my own crew if possible....I wonder if they would consider npcs for some of the most menial tasks, or if they would depend on the players to fill the position of peon as well...hmm.

Depending on if Beta Testers would be able to keep their possesions and experience after the closed/open tests my choises for first day of Testing would differ.
If testers do get to keep everything , my first day would be nothing more than a simple exploration around the most populated area in search of Citizens with ambtions close to my own for combining our efforts in our mutual long/short term ambitions, like my new pals here on the boards Zorbon, Selmo, Ebisu, yuir and...ishimahawhaharu(did i spell it right?) heh...im bad with japanese names. so ill just call the last one BOB.
If its the other side of the coin then i can start an early Worldwide "Slaugh-Tour"

Haha, I know you want violence Sakino. Do you have particular plans for colaboration on that front, like a bandit/highwaymen group or something? If you just want death to passersby I suppose highwayman is the wrong term eh. Is your goal to simply kill randomly or is there a method to the madness?

Something I found out later from the wiki concerning worker crews. You'd probably have to start out hiring players or soloing your labor, but they talked about hirable npc workers in the game, so hey, problem solved!

I'll probably fight with hands, feet, teeth and a wooden stick or two to get me a katana, some traditional clan-appropriate clothes, and start training myself and others (preferrably guards in spe) to become the elite of the elite in swordsmanship *nods*
