I prefer Obama over McCain since I tend to be more liberal. (except for a few issues)
Also, McCain's last few commercials attacking Obama have been full of lies (factcheck.com investigates claims made in political commercials), and I wouldn't want to elect someone who has to lie like that just to get in office.

I'll be honest when I say this. Neither Obama, nor McCain impress me in particular. I'm technically a Republican, but it's a little worrying that McCain was the best candidate we had. I might be voting for him, admittedly reluctantly, but I think he is better for our nation than Obama. Obama is too "radical," he spouts a message of "change" and such, but will he really change the United States for the better?

I would be neutral and abstain from voting, but I feel that at least the lesser of two evils should be voted in.

Vote for Nader. Give the guy a chance. I would laugh so hard if he won.

I think an uncle of mine has been voting for him the past few elections.

As a Canadian I thought I would say what I hear a lot up here. We are America's closest neighbour so the American elections matter to us.

One of the biggest issues Canada has with the States is the Iraq war. Since Obama's platform aims to pull your soldiers out quickest, he is getting the majority of Canadian support, not that it matters much. Secondly, Canada is much more liberal then the States and any candidate less liberal then Obama would not get support. Already some things Obama stands for are too conservative for a lot of Canadians.

One big thing that Canadians don't like about either candidate is that both want to readdress the NAFTA. America has been screwing Canada over this since it was established and to weaken it more for Canada wouldn't be good. Obviously Americans don't care about that as it effects Canada not the States but because of this Canada has, over the last 5 years decreased its exports to the States from 80% to 60%. If either candidate dishonours the NAFTA more then it already is, expect to see exports to drop. We are your largest oil provider by the way.

Overall, I hear Canadians supporting Obama. In fact I don't know anyone who supports McCain here.

Anyway that was a Canadian perspective on this election.

Well, sorry to say it, but for the most part US citizens don't care about what other countries think about our leaders. I think that's pretty damn apparent though. What with monkeyface.

It may be true that many Americans don't give a hoot what other countries think - but that doesn't mean people from other countries can't voice their opinions in an open discussion...

I'm going to remain pretty quiet about politics, but the short of it is: I really don't care this time around.

I put it out there for interests sake. I know most Americans don't care about the rest of the world, not all of you though.
