Musashi was a great man. Buddhist turned Samurai wasnt he? Came up with Ni-Ten Ichi Ryu. Fighting using a Katana and a Wakizashi. But he was 17 Century i think If this games 16th Century then no Musashi

Do you have plans for any of these attack combos already, or are you going to flesh them out later?

Now, I'm no good with japanese (my specialties are Latin and Indo-european linguistics) and I'm not sure what you'd call it, but how about an attack that goes slash-slash-slash-kick to the kneecap? you can never go wrong with a good kneecapping

those all sound great but I have one that I studied in japan. 外人のテクニック or "technique of the foreigner" and it is quite formitable to the others mentioned. It's limitations are that a beer bottle is required and it is easily countered by the police.

they all sound cool, but as for the two sword think, the wakazashi was only generally used in the case of the daito being lost or damaged, that or decapitation lol

Decapitaion of a defeated foe only, since you'd grab your target's head with one hand and would slice off the hand with the other (and there a wakizashi is easier to handle than a katana, simple because it's smaller and lighter).

For a decapitation during seppuku or executions a wakizashi is completely useless (you have no decent cutting power with one hand).

The wakizashi was also the weapon that the samurai would not hand over to a servant when entering a house. He would always have it around (it's said that some even slept with one under their pillow, however, considering the way Japanese pillows are made and how long wakizashi usually are, this claim is a bit odd).

It also saw use as a tool in seppuku (as the weapon to perform the cuts), however, a tanto may be easier for this, for quite obvious reasons. Though, pretty much any weapon can be used for it, if there is no tanto or wakizashi available. Seppuku with a katana, while being somewhat harder to do, is quite possible.

why not adopt a real style rather than making a name for one? yagyu shinkage was always popular as the yagyu taught the shoguns?

We make up our own styles because we want to be creative.
As for your question (got the question mark ) about the guy named Yagyu, I don't have an answer for it.
If you meant for it to be a statement, I don't want to use that, because it didn't gain popularity in the time period that Tatsumaki takes place in.
