Re: Women in Tatsumaki Land of War

Back to the topic, I know a lot of T:LAW is user created and user contained, but I hope some roles that are unfavorable. For instance, not everyone wants to be a geisha or a farmer's bride constantly...

Re: Vahn plays with his WACOM tablet

Not bad, I must say. Some graphic artists say it's difficult to work with because you can't look at it when drawing. And I'd prefer to draw on a tablet PC if i had the money! :D But have you...

Indiana Jones 4: General Thoughts (Spoiler-Warning!)

I've just finished watching Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and I have to say, awesome. I decided to watch the first 3 before viewing the film. There are a few things that I had to...

Re: Add your Japanese weapon. (50% suggestion as well)

I'm up for the idea of Non-lethal weapons being thrown in the mix, like a bokken or other training weapons. And maybe even giving them potential to be as potent in comparison to other weapons (like...

Re: Missing People

Re: Samurai Sexyness?

I think everyone has a particular fighting game in mind when they envision TLAW's fighting style (Soul Calibur's Mitsurugi...ftw). But I must say that if the dueling/fighting system is close to this...

Re: Religion

I am a non-denominational Christian and I share the same feelings previously expressed in this thread. Religion is a tool, it has the same characteristics as one as well. It was created by man, used...

Re: Pandtastic

The "Butter of Peanuts" is quite tasty I must say. I'm a personal fan of the ritz, PB, J, ritz combo. Very Nice...

Re: Peasent weapons

But if anything they still could have used farm-tools with some sort of martial implication. Such as a pitchfork or something. Needless to say they wouldn't have much *umph* but still something to...

Re: Instances?

I don't know, I see instances as more of a balancing tool rather than limiting the player. There are alot of horrible people out there who would love to interrupt a duel to get better karma for...

*Cough Cough* Let's get back on topic! *Cough Cough*
I've seen many excellent topics stopped due to tangents. Anyway, I think it's unanimous that killer intent is an excellent idea to balance the...

Re: What Online PC Games Do You Play?

Well right now I'm into (as far as computer games go...):
Guild Wars: Prophecies
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
The Sims 2 (Don't judge me)
and waiting patiently for Spore!

Re: Killer Intent

That would be a good idea. Seeing as how if you unsheathe your blade in Japanese culture (I believe), it means one is ready and willing to fight to the death. So if a blade isn't sheathed yet I guess...

Re: Killer Intent

I'm all for it... Sounds like a cool implementation into the game's combat system. I guess it could be used in a duel system as well.

Excellently written. There were two typos I was able to recognize but that's menial compared to the work as a whole. Great job.

Re: The Pros and Cons of Perma-Death

True, though perma death does accomplish it's ultimate goal of making death...well...significant to the player. And even though there are no skills and the "experience" gained is only by the player,...

Re: [Q]Cults and stuff

I agree. And i don't see many people itching to make one of their characters join some sort of cult. Even though this is just a game, I personally wouldn't want to join something like that. If there...

Re: War, huh, what is it good for?

True, as unfortunate as it may seem, it appears that war and conflict are man's destiny. Not for prey as in nature's case but for equilibrium, dominance and territory. But I believe that a war today...
