NEW YAGYU RPG/CCG NPC Data base
 
Here i shall post ALL NPC cards. And if they were beat or killed who did so.

Note that most boss npc's at least named ones will likely retreat rather then die. so dont comment here but rather comment in the new ooc on your thoughts. Remember stats arent final and will change as i see needed

Also note: Stats on cards may and will change as npcs may level up or be balanced out to pit against players.

Notes for GMS and DMs
NPCS marked in Green are ok to use by Gms for solos and groups

Npcs Marked in Red are only for DM use.

Gm= Game Master
Runs solos and groups on xfire


DM= Dungeon Master
Current Runner of Forum Chapters.


Be SURE that unless otherwise specified you ONLY allow players to collect spoils listed on npc cards and NOT their play deck items or tactics.

NOTE ON RARE LOOT DROP CHANCES
These chance rolls for rare drop loot only occur during Group Quests NOT Solos.

Yes the Miyoshi Have invaded Yagyu Valley.

Here is our first boss npc released.

Miyoshi Masayasu(Closed)

Young faithful captain of the Miyoshi Invasion force. He feels that the corruption of the Ashikaga Shogunate has too long allowed people to suffer. While he doesnt fully agree with his lords decision to first invade Yamato, he does agree that a land united under his lords banner would only be a better one. He is well trained in the use of the spear and is always happy to face any challenge that comes his way.

Stat Totals with Items Included
Life: 10
Att: 6
Def: 6
Spd: 1
Dmg: 3 (+1 in forest while spear equipped)
Stam: 6


Gm Notes
Armor uses 1 stam, spear uses 3, leaving him 2 stam to use each round for tactics.
Masayasu is an honorable man, he believes he is following true samurai code by serving an evil master. He will treat the players with respect and fairness.

Miyoshi Ashigaru

Gms may use these for solos and groups, try and limit it to 1 ashigaru per player so as not to overwhelm players. Ty
also note players ONLY collect the spoils NOT the items or tactics or weapons or clothing or armor :P

Gm Notes
Ashigaru my use their tactics each round at the discretion of DM or GM. Meaning u can use em or not, if u notice the players cant hit by using the tactics then dont use the tactics we want it to be fun and challenging for them but not impossible.
They are comprised of peasants and conscripts, they will take any chance to try and beat the players and love to gang up 2 to 1 if they have the chance.

Miyoshi Samurai

The backbone of the Miyoshi Army are the dedicated and fierce samurai who charge into battle. The Miyoshi Samurai train hard in the Chujo ryu and all are skilled kenjitsu practitioners. They are equiped with O-Yoroi armor making them very tough.

Gms may use these for solos and grps use as the boss character for now.

Stam:6 (armor uses 1 stam, sword uses 3, leaving 2 for tactics)


Gm Notes
Armor costs 1 stam constant effect, their sword use is 3 stam leaving them 2 stam for their tactics.
Miyoshi Samurai can either be honorable OR wicked, all depends on your story choice. They are decent both in def and att.

Common Bandit

The land is crawling with common thugs and more often the naught players will encounter these scum in villages, forests, cities, on the road traveling and even guarding treasure in caves.

Gm Notes:
Bandit has 5 stam, sword uses 3, leaves them 2 stam for tactics.
Bandits are cruel arrogant drunkards and fools. They are all about attacking first but they leave little to nothing for their defense. Use 1 -2 bandits per solos per player, depends on how fast they r dying.

Ronin Bandit

Gm Notes:

Ronin Bandit has 5 stam, 3 is used by sword leaving him 2 for tactics.
Bandit Ronin were once samurai and are non unemployed, but rather then remain honorable they have turned to banditry to survive. They prey on the weak, and can be wicked or can be respectful and have some honor, GM choice based on your story. During a solo u can pair 1 bandit per player, If they ko their player they may or may not gang up on another player, again gm choice. Bandit ronin are proud of their training and will gladly fight in a fair duel if players challenge them, but again in some instances Gm may choose to have them be completely devoid of honor.

Ronin Bandit Leader has 5 stam like normal, 3 for his weapon leaving em 2 stam for his tactics, his stance doesnt use weapon stam just like the other tier 1 stances. So gm may have him enter a stance whenever they wish, if he is fighting a party the stance applies to each player, if players attacking him individual he will have to take up stance each time he enters a new duel with players. NOTE only way to withdraw from a duel with him is for the player to be KO or KO him. They cant keep entering and withdrawing to get him to waste each round on entering stances. lol
The leader is up to gm how he acts. He can be a man of honor who once served a great lord but now has turned to a life of crime for some deep rooted reason, or he can be a dishonorable swine who just wants to rob the players or he can be a man who wants nothing more then to find a worthy opponent to kill him, all up to gm. he has skill in the Shinto Ryu which is one of the oldest forms of sword fighting and is one of the most common in japan during this era along with the Chujo Ryu.

This boss will attempt to do his best to break your weapon, but if thats not working and hes low he will go all out and just go for a kill.

NOTE on Rare Loot Drops
Bandits Ring ONLY has a drop chance during a Group quest NOT a Solo Quest.

Miyoshi Officer

Gm Notes
MIyoshi Officers are strict stern and cold fanatics of the Miyoshi clan. They will zealously die for their clan and will be harsh to any soldiers under their command who fall out of order. While not evil or dishonorable they like masayasu feel their lord is the ultimate authority right or wrong and thus will eliminate any threats to their clan.
They drop a rare loot with a 1 in 6 chance. When it drops if in group players must decide who gets the loot. At first the Officer will attempt to break opponents weapon but if they take even 1 hit they will switch to kill mode.

Notes on rare drop
Rare drops ONLY Occur in group quests. NOT in solos.

Ninja Spy

Gm Notes
Ninja are always fun to fight, but they are hard as heck to hit. They stick to the shadows whenever possible and do not speak, least the low levels do not, they will commit suicide by swallowing poison pills in hidden inside their mouths or even exploding by pulling a rip cord on their outfit. (Player takes 1dmg if u choose this option.)
They have 5 stam, 3 used from weapon and 2 for tactics each round.

Ninja Assassin

Gm Notes
Ninja Assassins are more learned and more offensive, they will step out of the shadows to make sure they get their kill. To them the kill is everything. Like the Ninja spy they will die before divulging information. But upon their deaths, the Ninja Pack Leader will have to step in and eliminate the target himself.
Assassins use standard katana and have 6 stam.
