Ok, sounds good. I have several books here. Well 3, but they are: "Bushido Shoshinsu" (code of the samurai), "Samurai Battles" by Michael Sharp And "Samurai Armies", a Osprey book on Samurai battle orders. Let me know if there's anything you want to know

I have been researching the Yagyu for many years. They are my favorite clan since i saw lone wolf and cub and the old sony chiba movies. Check wikipedia and look up yagyu munetoshi. that will give you some good history .

Oh okay, I got confused. How did you find all of that? The information I've been able to find is limited at best.

miyoshi didnt teach yagyu, yagyu taught the miyoshi then when yagyu followed hasahide he joined and taught the yagyu ryu to Oda Nobunaga. Then Yagyu rebelled and joined and taught the Ashikaga Yoshiaki. After that Yagyu Muneyoshi met Kamiizumi Nobutsuna and learned the shinkage ryu and developed the Yagyu Shinkage Ryu then retired to Yagyu Village and became a monk teaching only his clan members. Somewhere in their Yagyu also taught one of the Takeda not shingen but i think either his brother or his son. Then his son Munenori became a general under Tokugawa Ieyasu and then after sekigahara he became official sword instructor to the tokugawa and the ura yagyu side of the clan became the shoguns private assassins.

I jsut read about your planned trip to Japan. When are you going? I am in 2011 XD. At the same time read that the Yagyu were sword trainers of Tokugawa. So if Miyoshi teaches Yagyu, and Yagyu teaches Tokugawa... Where will it end?!
