I was reading some of the main page and I found this tranlation for Land at War. I hope you realize that isn't Japanese, it's just how a japanese person would pronounce land at war. rando (land) atto (at) uoo (war). The closest thing I could find to Land at War is Gunkoku which generally means land or nation at war. Just thought I'd bring this out, wouldn't want a release game with a foolish title translation.

That was kind of the point, the english name isn't "Tornado: Land at War", its "Tatsumaki: Land at War" - the mixture of the two languages shows a sort of merger between cultures :p.
Needless to say, the katakana (Loan word) version of Land at War was on purpose

Technically it is correct Japanese as it uses Katakana, there is no direct translation for "Land at War", so a mixture of that and the fact we use mixed languages for the english name - made me decide to go with "rando atto uoo".

I see, it's not really a translation though, it's a "if you were japanese and read this out loud it would sound like" sort of thing. Just know that a Japanese who didn't know english would have no idea what Rando Atto Uoo means. I'm not raising an argument, just clearing up my point.

Tatsumaki isn't a translation either ;)
If we ever release the game in Japan, we'll be sure to explain what Land at War means, just like we do with Tatsumaki now (Read wiki)

Sykoi's point was more that Tatsumaki is the name of the game, and not Tornado (Which is the english translation of Tatsumaki). In other words, the game will never release in germany under the german word for Tornado. All versions will ship as "Tatsumaki," because it is the actual japanese word we're more concerned with, and not the translation.
