What I want to know is can I play with 56k? I tried MXO which I could play but cause of my latency the gameplay was horrible. But games like WoW or FFXI I can run fine its just the fighter type combat system seems like it may be pushing my 56k a little bit. Any answer if the game play wont be significantly decreased due to my internet problem?
Thanks in advance to anyone who reads this even if you dont have a reply atleast you took the time to read to see if you could help

This game looks amazing and the politics and strategic aspect you ahve put into it is what i have been looking for in an online game. Though what worries me is for now i have 56k internet -.-, Now whenever i say this people jeer me and say get cable are you poor? (Im not saying this cause i think any of you would say this its just a typical answer to this question)
The thing is i live on a farm in the middle of no where so they decide not to run cable lines or dsl out to me. But my sister works for verizon and is trying to run fiber optics to my house which is laid down on evry road touching the one im on so it would only be cost efficiant to run it here to. There are various complication like my road being a land mark or somthign liek that so they may not be ablt to run wire underground. The whole ordeal frustrate me but all id like to know is can i play with 56k? I tried MXO which i could play but cause of my latency they gameplay was horrible. I read the first sentence and won't read or answer the rest of your post until you fix the spelling and spacing (its hard to read since its just a big blob of text)*
Currently the way things are going, we may have to put a limit on having a 128-kbit downstream in order to play Tatsumaki (Thats low-end broadband, and (Over) twice as fast as 56k) - there is just too much information to send back and forth; however - if we get a decent compression technique, we may be able to make it run on 56k.
*Please try to keep in mind that I, as well as the other developers - have to go through hundreds of posts a day (at times) - and to make things easier on us, we've setup certain grammar, spelling, and labeling rules.
If many people fail to follow these rules, we will no longer take place in discussion on the forums simply because it is very difficult and time consuming to spend 10+ minutes trying to interrupt a post.
While I don't see this happening, I do want to warn everyone who doesn't take the extra minute or two it takes to spell check and space their post out nicely.

The number of connections required to be open, the number of packets sent per second, and the total transfer required - are all higher than what 56k can support.
We will try our best not to alienate our fans, however please realize that we will have a Fighter-style combat system, and an advanced physics system - these two facts alone will increase the transfer rate above 56k.
However, this is coming out of simple predictions - with the complete lack of monsters, the game may have enough free transfer to support both of these advanced elements while running on 56k.

It is but Im guessing in a month or two Ill be adding Fios to my computer (5mbps-30mbps is a decent change from 56kbps)
^ then why are you worrying about playing with 56k, the game isn't going to come out between that time, heh.
