Good guesses all around. For those who do not know, a paradox is a statement that basically contradicts itself. An example would be: "You tire faster from standing than you do walking." Other examples include "Less is more.", "All men are equal, but some are more equal than others.", "By losing your life, you find it.", "They have ears but hear not.", "Deep down he's really very shallow.", “All men destroy the things they love.”, etc etc. Conventional wisdom would dictate one way of looking at the statement, but a paradox can open another view or stream of thought. By using logic you lose me, - usually a paradox will defy logic and logic, it guides me, - logic is needed for the final equation the end never equals the middle, - self explanatory a pretzel for the mind. - you have to think in an uncoventional manner to fully understand most paradox Good job Moses, next riddle posted later on. |
