I can sink a ship, or I might help it float, I might even help power, the aforementioned boat. 500 points and bragging rights of the winner of riddle # 13 to the winner!! Grun 08-03-2005, 07:39 AM Wood. I don't know what they're called, but some warships had a thing sticking forward under the water, and they would be made from wood, I think. It can help a ship float, obviously. It can be burned to coal and power steamboats. Shinoku 08-03-2005, 08:13 AM The sea. And then, to help power it, with a steam engine, there would have to be air so there could be fire to burn coal etc. to make the steam. With a gas engine , air mixes with the gasoline so it doesn't burn as much or something ( I don't know the real reason behind this, i just remember from my Mechanics class ).
