well, nobody knows, but hey, it could be something cool. Like your very own castle, or a cool set of armor. Who knows, the suspence is breathe taking.

We haven't really decided what 'special ingame content' will refer to, but we'll make sure its worth while ;)

Well if you can find another payment processor with low fees, that accepts credit cards - then I will gladly go through the trouble of creating an account and setting the forum up so it can support this processor :)

Your first question has already been answered here: http://www.eoeforums.com/showthread.php?t=855

As for your second, please read the instructions on the main site and/or click the link at the top of the forum (The one that says Pre-order)

I was thinking of pre-ordering and getting access to the alpha/beta/etc (oh man how i'd love 300$ to go create my own item :D ) but I was wondering, if I was to pre-order, and d/l the latest build, what exactly would I be able to do in it? I mean, isn't it still a little early in production to play it in it's current state? Was just wondering :) ty

Right now all you can do is walk around, chat with other people, launch a few fireworks and look at one of our models.
Granted this is a bit boring, but the more support we have - the faster we can add more stuff :)

I'm going to preorder as soon as I get my PC working. I'm assuming that since you aren't some GIANT MEGA COMPANY you probably won't port it to Mac (unless it gets really really successful and you get loads of money and can hire people to do it for you) right?

Converting it to Mac is just a matter of getting one of our programmer's a Mac, same with *nix.

But no, we won't do that for quite awhile since Mac's generally cost several thousand and have no real use to a programmer (They're great for design, but not so great for programming).

Let's not forget that porting is pretty low on the list of things to do. I would say finishing the game proper is some ways higher. :)

Of course, but I mean in THE DISTANT FUTURE.
By the time this comes out (2007, right?) I'll either have left home or will be doing so pretty soon and I only have my iBook, so I'll have to play on someone else's computer until (assuming you do) you port it.

P.S. I appreciate your Mac comments, Sykoi; most programmers seem to hate them and rant whenever someone mentions a Mac port. I'm not quite sure how you can hate a Mac (dislike using it yes, but hate it?), they seem like such happy and inoffensive items to me. I have real trouble getting annoyed at mine even when it does very annoying things.

Because there aren't many very well known IDEs (Development Environments) for Mac, at least not many known by the majority.

Not to mention the fact that theres almost a complete lack of half way decent games, and Mac's are meant mainly for designers (Pretty interface, although the macro ability is amazing).

Hmmm, I read that in 2007 Macintosh platforms will convert over to PC platform, maybe won't have to worry as far as pre-ordering is concerned.

Actually they're converting their 'base code' for their OS, to run on intel chipsets; the chipsets will be custom made so you have to buy a Mac to run the OS.

Yeah, I guess more accurately put they're going to switch from IBM chips to Intel. I inferred the PC platform part, which might be inaccurate. In any event, that's a ways off and I'm sure any one of these options will be available to Mac users.

I only use mine for drawing, animating, writing and playing WoW. Works fine for that :)

Maybe I'll just get the ol' virtual PC or whatever it's called.

Virtual PC + Tatsumaki would result in:
a) A crash
b) A lot of lag

We'd have to convert the game / engine to work on Mac, since any emulation of a game generally results in a lot of lag.

Ha, ok, I'll just use whatever PC I can get my hands on :)

If you did port it at some point you would make me very happy.

Well I think I'll just go ahead and pre-order this and look forward to you introducing the combat system some time :p That's one part I'll be greatly looking forward to, since the combat is the main feature I look for in MMO's.
