I can make a man smile,
or make him cry,
I can encite riots,
or I can calm the masses,
I'm abused often,
and taken for granted much.
What am I? To kick off the contest and events forum properly, I'll give a 1000 points prize for whomever is the first to answer this correctly. As well, starting with riddle 8, can only guess one time per riddle, and I'll check them once per evening - good luck!!!

Ok, maybe that was either a little too tough or a little too vague. The answer is I was looking for was the spoken word/speech, Trin's guess was a really solid one, as well as everyone else, really good guesses - Sykoi guessed women to that, and I liked emotion, and religion answers.

There was no winner for that round, so I'll take the prize and add it to this riddle, which I'll post later on, good guesses!
