Been wanting to do this for a while, so here goes. I'm going to try to host a simple riddle solving contest, this might be a weekly or daily thing, depending on how fast they're answered! The prize for this will be 100 points, and post your answers on this thread.
The first riddle is a simple one:
Once gone, it cannot be recaptured,
valuable as gold, but cannot be held,
it comes and goes but is ever-present.

Ding ding ding - Moses got it, really good one guys. Most of these would have more than one answer, but wind is what I was looking for. Riddle was designed for that answer.
It's as strong as steel when it tears down buildings during a bad storm, and powers nations with wind power. In the future, you can guess more than once, just delete first guess to keep clutter down. Also, post first guess with second guess on secondary post, thanks.
I'll post another one once I can think of it, hehe.

Really good guess everyone.
Most buildings contain at least some glass, and it helps build buildings,
it can create fire through focused maginfying glass and sunlight,
fragile - easily breaks,
starts out as sand on beaches, which is formed mostly from broken down seashells.

This is a rather humerous and not too serious reply, but I feel it fits, actually.

The answer to riddle 6 is ideas. The justification for no two being exactly the same is that they were A) thought during different times (if even nano-second apart) and B) no two people think in exactly the same way. Sooo, Abc wins yet again, good job guys.
