Castlevania: Symphony of the Night soundtrack

AWESOME soundtrack. Nocturne in the Moonlight is still one of my favorite songs on the album. Nice to see another game soundtrack fan out there. :)

I'm going to have to say that the Castlevania series, as a whole, probably puts out some of the best game soundtracks, period. The only game soundtrack i can think of off the top of my head that i enjoy as much as the Symphony of the Night soundtrack is Xenogears.

I have to agree with you on both counts. RPG soundtracks tend to be pretty good usually, though some songs on RPG soundtracks tend to be very derivative (the gotchic final battle music, the quiet quaint town music, etc).

While it's a bit different, I really liked Lament of Innocence's soundtrack.

You know, i actually enjoyed everything about Lament of Innocence; i was surprised to see it gets a fairly bad rap. And i did quite like the soundtrack, too; i mean, i guess it's no SotN, but that doesn't mean it's terrible.
