Thats not how they catch them :P Its just a cheap fishing technique (I always heard it as "Cat fisting" though).

Actually I think you can only find giant cat fish in/near China, but maybe not.

For some reason, because those fishes are so big, I feel bad that they were caught. I feel like they should legendary uncatchable fish at a size like that.

Hiromi

...you can keep the big, scary catfish in YOUR lake.

But if there are so many its not legendary, but say they catch them and one day in the distant future one remains, then it becomes a legend. Also by catching them the people today are ensuring that when they do die off, they are legendary.

You're missing the point. The more that are caught, the less legendary they are. If 100 people catch the same kind of fish, it's not exactly going to be noteworthy to catch one.

A legend is formed after the impression is formed, but i see what your saying.

It looks like that one guy caught three different ones, possibly different locations, but they look kinda different. I'm sorry, but there isn't much of a way I could stick my arm inside a hole in some muddy watered up river, you might find who knows what inside of that thing, like a 300 LB fish!

I was especially entralled by this one
http://www.azod.com/Photo-of-Week/2003/USED/Noodling2.jpg

Because of it's expression. With the tiny eyes and open mouth, it just looks so stupid. As if it hasn't even yet precived what's happened to it.

I agree, if you look at the pictures, most are taken while the fishermen are still in the river. How those things don't try to escape is beyond me.

Their too overweight to escape. Their big fat lazy fishies heheh, thats why they got caught.

Nice fishing there Trin, keep up the good work keeping our rivers safe from mutant fishies! These are fish caught in the Savannah River, about 50 yards from the Savannah River Nuclear Power facility.

I'm an aquatic bounty hunter, keeping the sea safe from mutant fish bent on turning our waters into a breeding ground for crime and villainy.

Hmmm, if you were serious about that, most big fish/game is REALLY BIG taste mushy, the muscles are atrophied to an extent. The best fish are the smaller ones that have strong muscles, I bet eating one of these would be like eating the mud they live in.
