View Full Version : Welcome to the Kiri Shini: The Rules
The Kiri Shini is a group of masterless warriors who protect and kill for money or negotiated barter. Kiri Shini roughly translates to "Fight to the death with swords." We may be low lives, but we're still bound by honor.
While we are not ninja, members are prohibited from giving their real names to employers or targets. Only close friends, family, and other members of the Kiri Shini are privy to this information.
The Kiri Shini is small and remain that way. Kazuo does not like working in groups, and only trusts a handful of people in this world.
We are not a formal family, but rather an informal group of hunters and mercenaries who are willing to lay their life on the line for the pursuit of riches.

Like the idea of your family sir. Have been thinking how nice it would be to have a truly underground society that was secretive, but upheld the virtues of a chosen path. Almost cult-like in nature.
Sounds like a pretty cool family, good luck with it man!

Don't expect any respect from myself or the Kiri Shini. We do our jobs, and we do it well. If you are threatened by our presence, then perhaps you should look inward, for our only adversaries are those that wish to do harm to those who cannot fend for themselves.
If the Yamamoto Family is worried about my kind, perhaps you shouldn't let corruption, murder and other insidious acts run rampant in front of your very eyes.
I suggest you keep your nose out of our business if you hope to wake up with it attached to your body.
Kazuo is a total ass. Don't expect any sort of respect out of him. There are only certain kinds of people that command respect from Kazuo. Unfortunately Shin, you aren't one of them. Let's keep this going!

Well sir, hmmmm... I must have confused your family with that of with less noble motives. You masterless samurai families are mostly the same to me.
Not to myself, but to Shado they are to an extent. The actual character of Shado doesn't know the background and lore of Kiri Shini, so until Kazuo tells him, he'd have no real idea. Just working on the basis that my character figured you were a ronin. Like the idea of a noble savage type family, interesting.

because it is better then just sitting around waiting for someone to attack us or call upon us. So watch what you say about us, especially us mercenaries and assassins, because in the words of Kazuo "tommorow you wont wake up..."

Being masterless, kind sir, does not make us ignoble. The grant of power brings the temptation of corruption, I've seen much of the evil that can hide behind a face of nobility. I've chosen not to serve a master, but to serve myself, and those around me that have proven their worth - not their status, as with the rest of the Kiri Shini.
A word of warning friend, please wait to form your judgements. We can be great friends, and even greater enemies.

Hiromi is a little too kind-hearted to be much of a jerk, but she's insanely prideful and a little bit spoiled. Gets her feelings hurt easily, but tries her best not to show it.

I agree...don't underestimate us Shinin. Noble blood spills more readily than that of our own. The blood that runs through these viens is cold and not easily seen. Are you trying to start a war kind sir? Cause if you are, I say, "Bring it on!"

Hey! He doesn't have to be nice, just efficient. I'd watch your words, Kurokami, unless you want to be finding out just how efficient he is.
Hiromi yells at Kazuo, but in her mind she's the only one allowed to do so. Anyone insulting Kazuo raises her hackles, so be prepared for her mudslinging :P

Kazuo can be a nice guy, but it lies under a thick shell of badassery and abrasive behavior. Hiromi is pretty much the only person who can really shout right back to Kazuo, and not expect a knife in the gut. ;)

Hm. This family seems to be the most intrigueing out of all of them. I believe I would like to join this guild. Are there any requirments?
