Shinto questions

I've got some questions about Shinto due to an upcoming anthropology thing and wikipedia isn't as helpful as I was hoping for. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about Shinto Death rituals/funerals. According to wikipedia, most Japanese go with a Buddhist burial even if they're Shinto. Since the report's on Traditional Japanese culture and I could only choose one religion(Shinto being older and native to Japan), I decided to go with that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
