It's my first time here so I'm sort of shy. I'm female, 15, and a student from McLane in Fresno, California. I'm going to be a sophmore when I go back to school. I am an otaku. I'm obsessed with anime and video games. I love to play RPG's and I'm in love with the final fantasy series. I even learned to dance the sending from Final Fantasy X; the scene where you see Yuna performing the sending in Kilika Port. I grew up loving the japanese culture and it grew even more when I met my friend Tommy Vang in middle school. I just realized a moment ago that ToshiMaru is actually the Tommy Vang that I know. I feel like a dork. I'm in the Chinese Club at my school and I'm also a chinese dancer at McLane. I'm a violinist and an almost pianist. I love to collect and hand-write my own music for tunes I like from anime and videogames. I don't like to get any from the internet or from the sheet music scores that I sometimes purchase. I'm trying to learn to play by ear. My goal right now is to figure out the violin solo part from the song, "The World," from .hack//SIGN OST. I love to sing, even though I'm not great. My love of singing in japanese started when Tommy told me that I sounded like a japanese school girl. From there, I took a japanese language class and since then, I'm can speak the language, but do not know what I'm saying. My introduction is probably lame, but I will try to open up more in due time. I currently have a hobby of making cosplay outfits. My project right now is to make Viki's outfit from the PS2 Suikoden IV. Wish me luck!

P.s. I have no idea what an otaku is. Care to elaborate a bit?

Let's me think...an otaku...otaku....otaku....hmmmm.....

I haven't actually thought about it. The only definition of otaku that I know is that an otaku is a person who is a fan of anime and game.

Then I decided to ask my aunt what she knows what an otaku is. Her answer was, "A person who is obsessed with a specific topic, hobby, subject, etc...." Then she told me that there are many kinds of otaku, like a manga otaku, anime otaku, game otaku, military otaku, idol otaku, you get my drift right? She says the word otaku is a loanword from the Japanese language. In english it refers to the game and anime fan and in the japanese it means a person that is obsessed with something.

I'm and anime and game otaku to be sepcifc. I feel like such an idiot right now! I told her I just said I was an otaku and she just laughed at me. Then after that followed her explanation. She said that if I said that, I'm sort of referring myself that I'm the sort of otaku that is a pervert and that I like hentai and ecchi stuff. For those of you who don't know, the word hentai in Japanese translate to pervert. Hentai with the western use of it means stuff that are or refer to pornografic anime and manga. to I don't know if it's true though, she just told me that. I feel a little embarassed if this is true..........

Thanks for asking me elaborate on what otaku is. It opened my mind a little more. Domo arigatou gozaimasu....

Otaku (english version) is a form of a nerd, but they are overly "nerdy" with an obsession with anime, computers, and games to a point where it controls one's life.

I don't think I'll be doing that. My mom won't let me anyways. Stabbing stuff is fun, but I think it's not a good idea for me. There are two reasons why.

The first is that I came out of a bad relationship this year. My ex cheated on me and he dumped me at that same exact time in front of everybody in the quad at school. Everybody hated him ever since because I have a good rep with the goth/punk people there. They never saw me cry before. They almost all jumped his ***, but I intervened and stopped it and went to cry in the M-building. I know, I know, I'm pathetic. I went to all my classes though. I can hide my crying under laughter and a smile.

My clan members that live in Fresno or nearby, my aunts, and my cousins gang wanted to jump him too, but I stopped them. Thats what it's like being in a family where your relatives are in gangs. They try to support you in a revenge kind of style. Don't worry, they won't hurt any of you, they cannot deny my request of not hurting anyone. If they do, dishonor and shame will fall upon them....I won't explain why....just to complicated....

I was devastated.....but I wanted revenge. I tried to kill him literally at his house. I know his mom was furious with him because she likes me and she even said that he deserved what I was going to do to him. But I couldn't bring myself to shed his blood. He was not worth it my time to watse. I left. The reason how we got together in the first place and why he dumped/cheated on me is really a stupid reason. I'm to ashamed to tell anyone why.

The senoirs gave me a little counseling so I'm in control of myself. But every time I see him, I go a little psycho. Ever since that day, he lives in fear of me so he's transferring to a different school. I only told ToshiMaru and Shinigami this first already, but I didn't give them this much detail of it. They knew to not ask me then because they knew I hadn't moved on yet. I'm better now though. Still hurting a little bit, but I'm alright.

The second reason why I can't do fencing is because I stabbed my own brother before on accident and a little tiny bit on purpose. I'm just a violent person in real life. I don't want to cause people sorrow or pain. That's why fencing is a bad idea for me. I might be tempt to actually hurt someone. I don't want to be a danger to anyone. I have lots of issues to back that up, but I see I've been ranting on for too long now. Sorry.....I just needed to let it out.....Thank you for giving me that oprotunity.....

Maybe learning an art such as fencing would be a good idea then as they generaly revolve around discipline and training your self to let it go. The only reason I say this is cause I used to be a violent person, hell I liked fighting so much I started a few in church! But the thing you have to find is a way to channel your emotions into something. It can be as complex as painting or a martial art or as simple as running or rock climbing. I know that once i started high school the only reason I didn't kill most everyone I came in contact with was because I had ways to out source my anger (what can I say, I'm surrounded by morons in a rich town ;) ). Anyway thought you might want to hear that. I have to go to sleep now, as I'm posting this I have to be up in 4 hours and 40 minutes to go to my **** as job!!! Oh well, watching Pulp Fiction and Fight Club in a row was more than worth the loss of sleep! :D
