Foreign Trade/ influence?

I was just wondering if since this is Japan before the Europeans came, will there be trade/ influence with other Asian countries like China? I think this might give a way so that the emporer, the shogun, or Daimyos would have to worry about another country from starting a war with them and give the game a little sense that it is not totally isolated from the whole world like neighboring countries or that Japan is the only country/land in the whole world.

I think that there was a discussion about being able to trade with China, Korea, and probably Okinawa (as Okinawa was not officially part of Japan until 1609). And maybe also Taiwan and the Philippines. But obviously this will come after other aspects of the game have been established, and we may not see it until the commercial release of the game or even later.
