If anyone here has played the game 'Mount&Blade', they know what i'm talking about.
By pressing the left mouse button and moving the mouse and so and so direction the blade swings in that direction, by pressing the right and in a direction, you block in that direction.
Its an incredibly intelligent combat system, that if you get good at can prove to be incredibly intuitive despite its some what simple mechanics. Even to the point of being able to block instantly and then counter all without a shield.
So then the question arises, will Tatsu use a style like this, and if not, is it on the drawing board as a possible? Or is it something totally different?
Before the question is asked 'that defeats creating styles', make each style have a different attack for each direction. Say, you invent a cool move you can map it to right or something, and instead of a linear right slash, you'd do something like a left to right diagonal slash.
