Well, about 4 weeks ago i went on vacation, because my brother-in-law and sister came back to the state from being in Europe for about 3 years. I pick them up from the airport, the next day my bro-in-law goes to check his bank account (armed forces bank account) so they use my seamonkey (the bowser i use) so that doesn't work, because afbank uses aspx which generally is a IE/windows only thing.
So being that i was pretty much sleeping (i don't wake up earlier than 1pm unless i have to go to work) i tell them just to get on win and use IE
they do so, and then they continue to surf the net in IE....
Well as most of you knows, my only computer with IE is the computer i model on (3dsm is windows only) lets just say i've never updated IE, because i use seamonkey, so i'm still using IE 5.0....
that's when all hell breaks lose
i get back on my computer and it's filled with spyware, he went to like 3 sites after afbank =\
my computer doesn't resolve dns now, so it doesn't get on the net. anyhoo we left that day, and i was gone for 2weeks.
now i'm moving out my old apartment 2 days after i get back (signed a lease for a better place while i was on vacation) , so i expected not to have the net for a while, but when i get back to my apartment the roof had leaked (florida is in the rainy season) covering my monitor/keyboard/printer/stereo. It had leaked for an unknown amount of time, which covered my pillows and some of my clothing in mold. Luckly my computer case is pretty waterproof, so it was spared. 2 days later i moved to my new apartment. I'm stealing wifi on my laptop which i mostly use in linux (i hate windows, and i hate modeling on my laptop) thus why i'm not on the forums.
Being that i'm poor, i don't own a bed, i need to change the breaks in my car, and i don't even have a pillow to put my head on when i sleep on the floor (clothing in plastic bags are fairly comfortable however) , i doubt i'll be getting internet soon.
But never fear! i just made a crossover cable, so i'll use my laptop as a server who will host my stolen wifi, so i can fix my dns problem on my desktop and get back to spaming the forums and modeling the models....
