I myself would much rather live in an underpopulated area then an overpopulated place like I do now. People are just so much meaner and inconsiderate in cities, and everyone is in such a hurry that if you slow them up even a little bit, they start bitching and honking and yelling. It's a bad state of mind to be in.

ashley

It was weird. I went on a train from Saskatchewan to Ontario (two days.), and we went through a lot of small towns, and saw a lot of people. And no one waved.
When we got to Toronto, most everyone we could see in the parks waved.

Maybe I only think that because people on trains are incredibly nice.

Guess my favourite form of transportation.

Xeus.Tsu
05-16-2005, 05:56 PM
That is somewhat odd, I'm living in Toronto right now, and I can't walk down a street, even in the lightest of traffic without hearing someone honking their horn because someone didn't leave the light fast enough.

An even worse problem was once I was walking to the bus to head somewhere. And there was a fire engine going down the street. Well the first guys heard the siren, and the car a few cars back start hammering on his horn. He was in too much of a hurry to wait for this fire engine to go through the intersection, and worse of all he causes traffic to start moving, blocking the intersection for the fire engine to get to whatever emergency it had. I would much prefer to live in the mountains and BC then here where I can't even go down the streets without being interrupted by horns and traffic.

If people would just slow down and calm down then I'm sure everyone would be much happier. I don't even think anyone really knows why they're in such a rush.

The person is smart, but people are dumb.

Don't let the idea of a small city fool you, I live in a city of only 8,000 people and people still drive 20 mph over the speed limit and honk at you if you drive 5mph over the limit to slow them down. Granted, I get in a hurry, but in Alabama it's not illegal to have a gun in your back window. lol

I rather live in a large town... wait I do.. But no matter how many asses you may find on the streets, small towns are just plain boring. Small towns tend to turn to drugs because they have no late night entertainment. Stores close to early, nothing is 24 hours. If you got sick your screwed, no thank you I will take city life anyday.

Well, like many others on this board I'm from Cali as well, Freemont to be exact, but I moved a lot as a child. I've lived in Massachusetts for a time after being born, then it was back to Cali, and now I live in a small touristy town in Maine known as York. It sucks to say the least, but in many ways its better living in York than Freemont, cause I can do what I want and not end up dead from it (9 times out of 10).

Where I used to live, Belle Ewart had like 1000 population and on the weekends people would just sit in their garage with the door open and drink / smoke / whatever the heck they can find all night long. It's pretty much the same thing where I'm living now but not everyone has a garage. o.O

I'm from Norway. In a small village with about 3000 people.

All my family that I know of are originally from Norway. There's distant relatives that's imigrated to other countries, but all I know of were born here.

We do have snow every winter, but I'm to the south-west, and the gulf-stream carries warm water here, so usually it's only good snow for a day, before it gets full of water and "sloppy". We do have a cabin further north, where my dad came from, and there it's nice snow all winter.

Summers are very nice, around 20 degrees celsious is warm, and there are occantional spells of rain that come quick and go quick.

By the way, not to brag or anything, I'm not a super-patriot, but Norway had been said to be the best country to live in by the UN. But there are some bad points to Norway, too. Politicians debate very poorly and act childish, for example
