I don't think its actually cell shading is it? It doesn't look clean cut enough to be cell shaded.

looks like a cheesy scifi mmo, cnot my thing =P i dont like games to have to be too humor based, it spoils the immersion imo

I'm in the Closed beta aswell, sadly i havent been that active.

Seed in a way, resembles LaW, I mean, Seed is a community game, with 0 fighting, well, normal combat isnt there, but argueing and price wars, that's still in it.

Law, from what i've heard, is a more RPG oriented game. that alone should give it some interest. I know "alot" of gamers that are RPG based, and dont get it from most games, Luckly there are people that make games like LaW and Seed.

Anyway, as far as Seed goes, it's still in closed beta, soon to be in open beta.
Who knows... might actaully become something then again, might not.

no combat!?!?!?

Hybrid-Lord

haha, Seed has no combat, the story has it so you're too busy keeping yourself alive then to think of hurting anyone else.

that makes me kinda sad

The lack of combat makes me happy. If an MMO is willing to try to make a market with absolutely no combat, it's bound to be new and innovative. New ideas are always welcome in the gaming industry. Succeed or fail, this game is definately worth a look simply because it's different.

I normally am mad at games because all they have is combat, but to not have combat, while creative just doesnt completely fit my style. T:LaW for instance will have both combat and normal life which will be awesome because I can do normal things while I wait to be able to fight.

it should be worth a look at least.. i mean, combat is not the only type of conflict there can be.
Darn, Open Beta sign up is closed. GRRRR.

Combat is a must for me. If theres nothing for me to poke with a stick im just not satisfied.

Lol, so the youngest kid in this forum is the only one who is willing to play a game in which combat is minimalised, and instead is based on the community and teamwork, and also trades and politics? Interesting indeed :D

I've seen some stuff about this game, the community, economy and political aspects are interesting, but no combat? Seems kind of stupid that you can't even have combat in a game, why not include it to make the other aspects stronger.

this is confusing, theres a new article that was just released; something about paying for two months of SeeD gaming for the price of one. somewhere along the line, i see a release date of May 2nd or 5th? is it already going to be on release? man, if so that must be the shortest beta test i've ever seen. unless i'm wrong, and misread it, i believe i might have; too lazy to go back and read it now.

on the matter of no combat though, i think its an interesting idea, im trying to log in once the servers are back up, but would very much like to see what they use to replace combat with, and if the idea will survive.

Yeah its going P2P in about a weeks time, so i guess you did miss the Beta :P

I signed up earlier on this year, like around janurary or February i think, and i got into the closed Beta, but it was so buggy i couldn't even play it. Ive got 2 characters, Circa and Autumn i think.

Still cant get in, and when i do, it freezes. Was looking so promising for me too...

If by "only" you're ignoring me...then yes. And you know I don't like to be ignored.

I thought that you were off playing Face of Mankind? If you have, i would really like to know how its going, as at this rate id be willing to play it if i had to choose between that and seed, even though i get a ping of up to 1300ms.

If it didn't take so long to log in to Seed, there would be a larger playerbase even though its in Beta (which will end next week, by the way).

You made your escape, be thankful. Don't look back; Don't ever look back!

So close to release of Seed! finally a new MMORPG i can try out ^_^

Ne1 who is joining post your names when you join in this thread, maybe we could form a ring thing ^_^ If we got some Beta Testers to help us all out, then all the better! We will work out the minor details out later... like who is going ot lead the ring ^_^ I don't really have a opinion, except for a strong one towards Beta Testers that know more than we do..... ^_^

I was accepted into Beta a few weeks after closed started.

I havent been able to log in since, and when i did get in (about 2-3 times total), the game took just too long to get past character creation, and i dont think it was any less then 30 minutes.

And the one time i got passed all of that and stepped into DaVinci, it lagged like hell, froze my computer and i had to close the damn thing down.

But, i wont mind trying out the retail version with you guys ^^. Im not one to hold a grudge hehe.

Yeah, that's one of the woes with being a beta tester. I got into the closed beta too, but it kept freezing my computer that I didn't bother trying to log into the game anymore, so as of now I haven't played the game. It does look promising though, but we'll see.

I'm still waiting for Darkfall. Gotta get my fill of PvP gore!

okay, its officially out - SeeD has gone to release. i dont get it, is it just me or is beta for them extremely short? i got the account and downloaded the game, and like everybody else it was laggy and impossible to even try. now they already released the game, and is it supposed to be in the same state as during beta?

i must be missing something here, because what i saw in beta was an overlagged, underdeveloped game????

Publishers can be realy evil. Just look at WoW, they wanted to develop it more before releasing it, but they were 'forced' to go gold. Now you've got a halfarsed game that they're still trying to balance. Not that I would have liked it anyway, still would have been a masters of grindage game.

i thought Seed was an independent company? maybe it was their leader....:-p
