I'm ready to snap soon. I can't find a game that will hold my interest more than a few min. I've worn out and played every game I have.
I'm thinking I need a good solid mmorpg to hold me over for awhile or something

Ive been playing Horizons a lot lately, as has my room mate who once claimed to hate MMOs. If you try that hop on the Order server and send a message to Siv (thats me) ^_^

You wanna get a game that'll tide you over for more than a few moments? Then get something other than an mmo. I've the same problem with mmos as well. So far, there is only one MMO I've played for over 2 weeks and I believe that was only because it was my first mmo.
This leaves a lot of pc and console games. The problem is, most modern games these days are boring. A lot are simply the same old stagnant things they've been putting out for years now, with a few new bells and whistles for each new packaged rendition. Occasionally, something new does manage to come to the gaming market. My favorite example for the current generation of systems is Shadow of the Colossus for PS2.
Due to this lack of creativity in the modern market, I prefer to play a lot of old school games, particularly ones from the SNES. That system has a treasure trove of uncommon games, a lot that have never made it to the US. I suppose the other systems are like this as well, but the snes is just my favorite. The US never truely got to witness the full potential behind the technology of that system.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, go for the excellent stuff on earlier systems. Find a game genre you really like and look up games for past systems. You can get a lot of stuff through emulation that never made it out of Japan. I also suggest browsing through local gamestores. Most still carry a good amount of cheap playstation games. A few months ago, I made an awesome find of Castlevania - Symphony of the Night. Just an example. You can always some good quality GBA games too. As sad as it is, I feel that a disturbingly large percentage of the best games released in the past few years have been on that system. Being a handheld though, its often overlooked.
Sorry for the huge rant/advice, I hope you find it useful - or even enlightening O.o Good luck finding a good game! :D

Yeh I think i'm going to go by a few of the local gamestores. Just this void that needs to be filled for my "gamer heart."

If you want to play a RPG you can buy from a gamestore, try out the Golden Sun series (game boy advance) i like the game play. (and the music sounds nice, GS2 has better music than GS1 tho)
If you want to play an online MMORPG try out Silkroad. Thats the only one I can think of right now. They adding wolf and squierrl pets soon. (the wolf can grow, the squierrl is wierd.... I can't tell u, cant read Korean)

Silk road doesn't appeal to me at all. I'm not a GBA guy either.

You wanna get a game that'll tie you over for more than a few moments?
It's not tie. It's "tide" over.
Went over this in another thread. ._.

Whoops. I'll just edit that >.> Anyway, just try for some playstation games, or even dreamcast or n64 if your local stores carry them. I think instead of buying a new console I'll just buy a dreamcast off the internet or something. Its cheaper, and I know some awesome titles for the system that I need to play.

Have you tried Neverwinter Nights? It has 2 modes, singleplayer & multiplayer included. The multiplayer isn't too bad if you can find a server/mod that fits your preferences. There are numerous types of MP servers available like action (hack n' slash), rp, social, story, etc. The platinum edition has both the expansion packs included so that would save cash.

Well, for an MMO how's about you try Shadowbane, it's confusing to the point that you'll need to play it a while to get a proper grasp of it, then once you do, you might find it fun. Plus it's F2P now, just check my Shadowbane thread.
If you're looking for some unique games, may as well pick up a Nintendo DS, it has some awesome puzzle games and with all the features of the DS (touch screen, microphone, etc.) new ideas for games are popping out left and right, heck a new LoZ is coming out for it, thought it does take after Wind-waker style... which makes me mad because the NDS LoZ game was supposed to be a portable version of the LoZ that will be released on NGC, or maybe the Rev. I haven't really kept up with Nintendo news. Plus, with a NDS, you can just pick up and play anywhere you go.
If you don't have a lot of money to spend, you can always just check in the cheap-games-bin at any gamestore, they sometimes toss in left over games that are fairly good, but no one bought.
If you have NO money to spend, I suggest emulators or any F2P MMO, though you sound like you've tried them all, and none of them are interesting for you...

I'm worn out on PSP and GBA NDS.. all handhelds basically. Yes I was looking at shadowbane I'm also going to try this other mmo it looks promising. downloading it right now. I did enjoy the Suikoden series but i'm worn out on RPG style like that for now, probably get back to it later.
I'm looking forward to Starcraft Ghost coming out. I was looking at Battle for Middle Earth 2 and that looks like a awesome RTS.
-Thanks for the suggestions, keep them comin

Hmm, nowadays its hard to find games which have you honestly hooked. If you like startegy, and dont wanna waste alot of money, i recommed Age of Empires I or II and the command and conquer games after EA bought Westwood, thats when they started becoming lame and cartoony. These games are among the best i have ever played.
So, quick list of addictive cheap games:
C&C Red Alert (Expansion Packs are pretty good, if your using XP follow these instructions to get it to work: RA on XP (http://www.sharoma.com/ral/tech_support.htm#rawwxp))
C&C Tiberian Sun (
Age of Empires
Age of Empires II (Conqueror expansion is a must have)
