But I dont think there are many MMOs set in a post-apocalyptic environment, which to me is more important that the game genre itself. Id try it out. That would be...hardcore. Missiles, rockets, chain guns, and over 100,000 people in a massive Free For All zerg fest. My friends and I used to play AC games obsessivly. Combined we have every AC game, expansion, at full 100% completion. Every part, every mission ranked S. Those were the days. Then that Nine Breaker crap come along :(. Planetside is more mech/craft than FPS isn't it - and WWII online not really along the lines of this concept. ShininShado 03-18-2006, 01:12 PM No problemo here Kamakiri, no need to worry about shooting down an idea I have no intention of trying to get off the ground. From what you described that sounds a lot like Planetside. Neocron looked good, but haven't played it yet. The hacknet (like a Matrixy world where hackers face to attain information/control of processes) facet of the game looked fascinating. I envision like a Grand Theft Auto with perma-death. No NPCs outside of robots you could build from scrap. Like I said, there are probably games like this, I am just unaware of any of them. Telsist 03-18-2006, 02:22 PM Armored Core MMO...Now there's an idea. I think there's been some similar attempts, but none of them really successfully completed the Armored Core feel. Downside; There'd probably be a lot of lag, what with all the missles and lasers and jetpacks flying around. nobody4422 03-18-2006, 06:43 PM GTA online would probably kick ass too, or have I already heard of that somewhere. I cant remember if my friend said he heard about it or just thought it would be a good idea. Another cool one would be Dawn of the Dead or Resident Evil MMO.
