Looks pretty cool :)
DNA Computing (http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2003/02/0224_030224_DNAcomputer.html)
Israeli scientists have devised a computer that can perform 330 trillion operations per second, more than 100,000 times the speed of the fastest PC. The secret: It runs on DNA.

Wow...that is insane!! I hope they can figure out how to make it able to read all forms of 1s and 0s so it cna be a fully functional computer, or maybe binary could become an outdated computer language...that would be pretty craz though probably too much work then its worth haha, EVERYTHING would need to br re-written microsoft would be outdated and need to steal another OS =P ohh the possibilities
Wow, i bet that that, when finished, might even give you good fps in BF2 :P
But yeah, that looks totally awesome, i cant wait to get my hands on one buahaha.

BWHAHAHAHA Good frame rates in BF2. You're so silly, Raku.
But seriously, this is pretty interesting. I wonder if this will exacerbate the 'ghost' code that exists. It seems like for all intents and purposes that it should.

I,Robot springs to mind.
It says that the machine is 'self sufficient'. I this book, it shows that machines adapt to human ways of life and become 'part of' the human society.
If these Isereli scientists have a computer RUNNING with dna, what the hell is going to happen next? They will be going to the toilet with waste data?

Okay, this has to be a joke... this HAS to be a joke! My brain... hurts... SO BAD! DNA controlling computers?! WHAT?! Can't computers just be a microchip...?! Wow, science is really, REALLY going beyond my ability to fathom reality... Lol.
Seriously, soon computers WILL think... soon we WILL make computer Intelligence! Not just artificial... man, I'm scared.

Or.. there was this move once called.. the matrix? I dont think that we should be heading that way now. I do belive that once computers think for them selfs we are pretty much f'd. But that is just me.

dont worry, ill protect you from the evil self thinking machines :P *equips dual katanas+5 +fire damage, dual desert equals, and mp5+1+extendedmag* lock n load!

Methinks that the paranoia of fiction spreads itself thick in our parts. ^^ I'm not saying that the AI problems aren't going to develop later on, but I think it's further in the future then many are thinking. Which isn't to discount that it's not possible for it to be soon, just that, well, as they said in the article, these computers can basically do nothing so far, they just have potential. I'm not really so concerned about AI until we actually start seeing real examples of it. Then I'll worry about it.

Word...lets add laser guiding to that and we are set!!!
I think technology is great!! and if u remember back to the matrix what did they say makes humans superior to machines is control!

I suppose a computer controlled by DNA would be influenced by the same things we are, and would turn out how most people turn out depending on the enviroment. But as long as computers don't control every function we do, we should be fine... but slowly, we are heading down that path, and we are close to having it control just about everything.

Your Right! *equips laser guidance to all his weapons... that right... all of them... even the swords!* *hands selmo a copy to equip himself*

Laser guided? Psh, who needs that... at the rate of which science is progressing, I'll have mine SPACE TIME CONTINIUM guided... or guided by black holes... yeah, that's right...
I'll just shoot the robots with my Dual Intergalactic Katana Shooting Railgun.
