Discussion about New Roleplay (Townsquare - Chapter 1)

Yep, its time to create another "Confused about..." thread. For those of you who don't know what that is, I created one for Revenge and Reward, another one of the RP stories here. The purpose? Simple. If you get confused about something in Townsquare Market (I dunno if this story has a overall name yet, so I stole the one from Chp. 1) then write your worries, your plot holes, or anything else pertaining to the story in this thread. I read through the newest RP (which I plan to join soon ^ ^) and I noticed over 2 pages in OOC material ; ; From now on, lets put all this stuff in this thread, ok?

Good luck on the story, I look forward to joining it as soon as I find a good scene to stick my character into. :)

first things first.

Just so the action stays uniform, and everyone is on the same page, try to keep most of the action within the town still or no more than the outskirts. Chapter 2 will involve the journey to the mountain (each character will have their own reason for going), but to make sure that the story progresses well - try to keep the action uniform. I hope this doesn't hinder anyone's plans or imagination, just trying to make sure it's one cohesive storyline.

If you're confused about anything in the storyline re-read it several times. You shouldn't be confused here.

what im confused about is that im supposed to be eating with some fellow men, and then read up a few posts to see that it is totally disregarded and now people have just come to town, are lost etc.

i cant post further untill i sort this out, and if its left for too long there will be problems.

Someone new (old to forums, but new to storyline) would like to participate if the journey along the road could take a while I'd appreciate it, especially since that'll be the main action of Chapter 2 - everyone doing really good and it's a good story so far.

Hey, I was putting like parts together on the story line and noticed that

Ronin's last post has all his chars together walking out of town while the post before that Jin was still with Raku with Baka searching for him. It got me a bit confused...

hehe i dunno its your characters but as long as you catch up eventually the chars dont really need to be on the same page heh or you could have just edited a previous post to what you were doing, if you want PM me a filler for what happened (^_^)

ummm.... what were the last two posts about. Gen-san was in the monastary with us, and theives attacked at night.... We havent rped their fate yet. So Im kinda confused.

Moses clearly outlines who was at the monastery ToshiMaru. I wouldn't have a problem with your character being there, but why would he be? How did he just appear out of nowhere into the monastery? I'd appreciate it if you could either edit your post and if Raku's is in reference to the monastery edit it too. Maybe you knock on the doors looking for a place to stay or...? Please read Moses post at the intro of the monastery scene in chapter 2. Thanks ahead of time.

As far as having the two storylines intersect, we'll get there but there's no real hurry for that to happen and both storylines are progressing well by themselves.

Whew, I finally joined in. As for intersecting paths, I have no fear for my character. Since people are traveling up the mountain, and he is traveling down the mountain, I'm sure someone will encounter him sooner or later. If you do happen to meet up with him, please let him speak/act on his own accord - I prefer to create his actions rather than let others do it for me ^_^. If you really need to have him doing something during your post, at least PM me so we can talk it over.

This roleplay seems cool so far, lets keep it that way. :)

well, i figure that my character sneaked in during everyone was sleeping and had a little chat with Gen-san. sorry if it wasnt as expected. but anyhew, the character is already done there, he doesnt need much to do with the intrusion. I was thinking of just making cameo appearances throughout the story, and hoping to reveal it later. plus, i thought that it would be a nice little thing to tie Gen-san into some darker past. dunno; things might change, if theres any specific things that needs to be changed, anyone can feel free to pm me. :D

That's fine, and I'm not trying to exclude anyone. It was just odd, thanks for clarifying that.

im a bit confused? is it already a day passed or a day before? the monastary is already deep night, but the road to HIrashoto is just sun setting?

Since the action does not intersect, it shouldn't pose a problem in the storyline. The two stories probably won'T cross until chapter 3- 4.

Even though this thread started out as being about chapter 1, this is about the overall storyline. The bandits in the monastery just stated they were looking for a weapon called the Tiger Thistle. Shinzui/Senshi were looking for a naginata earlier in the story, this makes for a pretty good story. Thank Moses/Slots.
