Do you think we could put ina 100 member mark celebration? Like a little event with double points and one or two new things at the shop only available on the day? That would be kool

Sykoi

I doubt it; 100 members isn't that much - however, upon 1,000 we will definitely have a major celebration.

(The reason I say 100 members isn't that much - is because we had about 400 members on the first forum, 250 or so on the most recent forum, and we're getting about 15-20 new members a day here)

Its certainly growing at a fast rate, hopefully there should be heaps when the game finally goes gold, but those on at the moment are clearly devoted to the game :D Beebe out.

with the theories behind the game and the absolutely awesome Video, who i take my hat off to the terrain and music designers. I wont be surprised if this game takes the world by storm. Alot of good research and theories are behind it.

I like that double point idea...whether it's on 100 or 1000.
Hopefully more people are coming in so the game gets more publicity. The more the merrier...as long as we don't get any 1337 speakers or people asking where to download the game. It get's quite annoying after awhile.

Tekashi

As the devs do more interviews on gaming news sites the word will get out. As the word gets out people will come here to check it out and ask questions.

i have had the same respounse. I tell a friend about the game, they really get excited, i expound on it, the get even more excited, they ask for the site to download it and play it, i say "its not out yet", excitement fails, they say let me know when its out... soon though this will all change :D

Er, dont reply to the entire post? or just a certain one?

Anyways, we should really try to get more people to come join the forums and expand the community
With more people trying the alpha it will help alot.

I would say 1000 members is a good mark.
500 is also good

Kuraku Hideaki

It would be nice to see a larger community... But with it comes my despise of even entering the forums. With Larger communities comes more posts... bah, I spend enough time in here trying to catch up. =(

Kuraku Hideaki

yes, i know what you mean :S it really gets confusing after a while. Although, when the game is released, most of the people will be playing the game, and will only come back to the forums to read updates or ask for advice or help.

Then, and only then, will we take back the boards ;)

Things are quite tight budget wise, which means we'll have to wait a little while before we launch any major advertising campaigns. Until then we just put our fair trust in you guys, the heart of the community to spread the word about Tatsumaki.

you get us a client and we will take care of the rest. As a few have said when people hear about this game they get excited, its just like kicking the excitment in the stomach when you have to say "its not out yet".

At any rate, i look forward to more members. The forums are lively right now just like the last forums in their first few months, but these forums will die down too if we dont watch out. You have to have a good foundation of members to add to discussion regularly or the forums will simply rehash on the same ol topics over and over again. I think that the community is about to turn the corner though and any influx of material, whether that be screen shots, concept art, dev chats, the alpha release, etc will push it even more. Not to mention that the forums/site have been drastically improved and that should aid in attracting and retaining new blood...

Like i said, when they say "where can i dl the alpha/beta whatever", just take them here and say, "sign up and find out ;)"

I am member 90, woot. lol. I celebrate everything anyways so I will probably celebrate the 100th member. I will also celebrate the 319th user because thats pie (math). But the 1000th member is the big canoley.

Kuraku Hideaki
04-30-2005, 06:15 PM
O_o i guess ill have to make another account at 999 ;)

Redb@ck
04-30-2005, 06:48 PM
Ah pi isnt 319, its 3.14159, so you would be celebrating the 314th member or if you wanted to be accurate the 314,159th member ;) Beebe out.

Sykoi
04-30-2005, 08:09 PM
Actually, we'd have to celebrate the 3.14~10^10000000000th member.... No one has completed Pi yet :P

Kuraku Hideaki
04-30-2005, 08:58 PM

Redb@ck
04-30-2005, 09:16 PM
Yeah they have some massive supercomputer calculating Pi to some phenominal number trying to find a recurring pattern in it, but so far nothing. Beebe out.

Well Kurakushin, unless you already gave him those points, then you really don't have many points left to give :P But a big huzzah on reaching 100 members! Now let's see if we can get all the way up to 101 members! :biglaugh:

Redb@ck
05-01-2005, 01:23 AM

Hattori Hanzo
05-01-2005, 04:15 AM
Well 1000 Members would make more sence than 100 :) Lets just say you forgot to put the extra 0 at the end of 100 :laugh1:

Once i get some good play time and action in-game I'll promote the game and force well over 20 people :D

Redb@ck
05-03-2005, 04:13 AM
Don't force them, just convince them how great it is and they will come voluntarily ;). 124 members - the number of members is just flying up. Beebe out.
