I couldn't help but notice on the new site (which is great by the way) that there is a server status box, as well as under preorder it says you can download the client.

This is just out of sheer curiosity, but is there a basic alpha client up, or is it just in place so when the client does become available to those who have access, the systems are already in place?

I'm waiting til the end of this week to release the client to the public; the patcher is done, the network code is seperate - and is still lacking a working movement packet handling - and the physics are only really basic right now; so I've decided to wait til we can finish that stuff to release it.

If we don't finish it by the end of the week, I'm still going to release it - if not only to debug the engine on other machines ;)

Tatsumaki is soon to fall into my hands, and i shall soon conquer it. HAHAHA

Based on my undestanding there is still quite a ways to go, and I think he meant the basis for the physics system and the more basic implements of it were almost ready, not the entire thing. But regardless, progress is progress, and it is moving in the right direction. Every step counts :)

Well what i see hes releaseing the client for alpha friday lol but i highly doubt it will be done even though i would love to see it friday.

Mind you that the alpha will most likely very much be an alpha. So any of you who has got your hopes up that you'll see an almost finished game by the launch of the alpha client, probably should revise that ;)
