Heres anouther story i wrote. It has a different viewpoint to it.

I awoke abruptly to a cold, dank morning. Rubbing my eyes, I silently got up to dress. My wife awoke while I was dressing. I gave her a brief kiss, before heading out into the waking world. Reaching down, I grabbed one of the charred fish from the smoldering embers of last night’s cooking fire. Today is just another day in the fields. I thought to myself as I trudged my way through the dew covered grass.

A few hours later, my only son joined me in the fields. I playfully greeted him with, “So you thought it would be funny if I did all the work, while you slept in!” He softly replied, “You know I don’t mean to father. But you won’t wake me when you awake and mother waits till after the sun has fully risen.” “Don’t worry my child. Enjoy your childhood while you have it. Soon you will be wishing you had another.” I responded, smiling as I recalled some of my favorite memories. “Father, you are beginning to sound like an old philosopher more and more these days.” He teased. “I’m much the philosopher, but not old. I can still defeat you with a blade.” I wilily replied. We both laughed and continued to do our work.

Just before noon, we heard music coming from the direction of the town. This was followed by the beat of horses. “Is there a festival today?” I questioned my son. Leaning against his ho, he looked to the sky and replied, “None that I know of.” “Well we are already ahead of today’s work, wanna go see what it is?” I asked, dropping my hoe into the water logged fields. He dropped his as well and stated, “Let’s see who is faster, old man.”

We both arrived in the lively town a few minutes later. Panting for breath, we asked some of the other villagers what was going on. We learned that our lord was returning. I was very happy, as our lord was a just and great ruler. He demanded much, but gave much back in return. My son, however, is a bit of a rebel and despises all rulers. I constantly try to explain to him that politics isn’t an easy beast to tame, and that we should be grateful for the great ruler we have. When my son heard the news he spat on the ground. “Does he return with goods for the people?” he angrily shouted. “Of course not, he only thinks of himself.” He responded to his own question. Suddenly a voice cried out, “The lord is here!” Everyone bowed down at once. “See the respect he receives. It is because the people love ―” I realized that my son wasn’t prostrated next to me. I turned and saw my son standing with his arms crossed over his chest. “What are you doing!?” I silently yelled. “Father, I’ve had enough of this bullshit.” He angrily responded. Oh gods! I go to your shrines everyday and you give me a rebellious son, who is going to get himself killed! But then I remembered that I hadn’t gone to the shrines that day. Cruel fates! The one day I forget you take my son from me. Suddenly the caravan stopped. I looked toward my lord and saw him pointing towards my son. A guard ran toward us as I yelled, “Get down now!” to my son. Come with me.” Said the samurai, as he arrived. “Please take me instead.” I pleaded at his feet. “No, the lord was specific that he wanted this one.” Replied the soldier, pointing towards my son. I embraced my son, believing this to be the last time I would ever be able to hold him. He obediently followed the guard, with his head held high. They reached the lord and he asked, “Why don’t you bow, like the others?” My son replied, “Because I don’t believe what you do is right for the people.” Kurokami dismounted and began fiddling with his pack. “Are you any good with a blade?” he asked my son as he tossed him a katana. “Well, I used to take lessons, until your taxes forced us to stop them.” Retorted my son. “You have a sharp tongue for sure. How about this, I’ll give you a free attack.” Kurokami replied grinning. “I’ve been waiting for this day since I was forced to quit the lessons.” Screamed my son as he charged in. He excellently feigned high and swiped low, but the lord just leapt over it. My son continued to attack, but the lord evaded it every time. In one last blow my son threw everything he had at the lord. To everyone’s amazement Kurokami just lifted his arm up. The blade collided with his arm, but instead of a shower of blood, there was only a trickle. “Wow! You must really not like me.” The lord stated before quickly disarming my son. The boy fell to the ground nursing his wrist as the lord drew back the blade. The sword sang as it came down. Next to my son, an asp lay split in two. “But I like you. We could use some more headstrong people on the council. And your blade work isn’t too shabby either.” He kindly said, offering a hand to my son. “But…But I couldn’t cut you.” My son replied softly. “Not many can touch me, much less cut me. But with all your furry thrown in that last attack, you were able to draw blood through my ninja techniques. That is good enough to me.” Kurokami remarked.

Throughout the entire fight I was so stunned and terrified that no thoughts passed threw my mind. It took me a few moments to understand what happened. But once I did I cheered and soon the crowed joined in. My son graciously accepted the position.

That was about a year ago. In that year alone, my so had become a close and loyal advisor to his lord. He proudly servers whom he now calls the kindest lord in the land. He has also helped make life easier on the common people under his master’s rule.

Nice story moses. But um...ninja techniques? I've never heard of one that could stop a blade from slicing off an arm.

i have :D. Its where the person can harden their muscles enough to stop a sword from slicing through it.
